Well I'm actually testing Ubuntu 8.10 now. I will probably go back to PCLinuxOS 2007. Crazy good and fast. Has support for everything and Texstar and his group rock at putting out a solid OS. So this post is from Ubuntu 8.10. Yay linux as a secondary OS. Not sure if I would use it as a primary anytime soon though. Still a lot of work to be done to make it a true Windows replacement.

I don't know if you ever heard of Mint but Linux Mint 6 RC 1 released. Ubuntu 8.10 based and snazzier.

Played with Mint 8.04 still preferred ubuntu or PCLinuxOS. They did a really good job with madrivia.
I could never get BSD to run that well on my notebook.

I still can't get it to work with the shitboxes at my desk. If you like Ubuntu, try Dreamlinux. If you're a Windows guy and love KDE try Windows 7 + Superbar hack =p

as far as windows managers, I stil prefer xfce or fluxbox. Been sticking with Gnome atm with the current ubuntu 8.10. KDE 4 really annoyed me. kdE 3.5 was pretty good though.

Superbar is sexy. Windows 7 will be what Vista should have been. It is stupid they, M$ hid the superbar in preview. Ruk is right BSD or go home.
