Ok... I was indeed hacked yesterday at 4:15 a.m. The guild was robbed of a bit of stuff as well, but luckily I don't have access to anything super important. Daaman is MIA, KIA.... Most likely deleted. My only other lvl 80 was left near naked, as were all my toons, and had practically nothing. I had outfitted him with about half epics, but he was still undergeared. So playing on my alt for raids wouldn't exactly be possible.

The GM said it would be approx. 57 hrs until the investigation was complete and my account could be fixed. So I'm out for a minimum of 3 days, probably more. At the end of this week I am taking vacation, and moving soon after. My moving date has yet to be determined, because it's pretty much based on funds/availability of a place to move into.

Hopefully this whole fiasco gets wrapped up before I take off on vacation. Otherwise it's going to be drawn out a lot longer than I'd care for it to be. Sorry to everyone about this, and sorry to DE as well that I suddenly became a liability.

I've taken nearly every precaution I can think of, that is at my immediate disposal, to ensure this doesn't happen again. I plan on ordering one of those authenticator things, cause this is BS.

Just figured I'd update everyone on where I'm at.

Mobile Authenticator

Right now it's for Iphone and Ipod Touch, but they say it will be an app for a regular phone soon.

the authenticator is not much; it's worth it even just for the peace of mind.

even if hackers are really only interested in money, the idea that someone could gkick the entire guild is a little scary.

Very true Kalyn... but it's not just that.. I've been playing since release.. there's some shit a couple of my toons had that you can't get anymore. Some things that are useless, but were neat to have... And to have DELETED Daaman, that's like deleting a good portion of my life for the past few years.

It hurts. It really pisses me off. And it also makes me not really want to play anymore. I think I'd rather have my car stolen or something.

I can totally relate to you Daa. After this last episode its left me not wanting to play at all. Hope everything gets fixed for ya.
Q. With all the mention of saronite, and old gods blood in the various 3.3 quest chains, will Yogg-Saron factor into Icecrown Citadel?
A. You mean your guild didn't kill him?

Well, it seems that Daaman didn't actually get Deleted... Merely free x-fer to a lower population server... Namely, Azuremyst. I found him naked outside the Gbank in Dalaran on that server. The vast majority of his stuff is of course gone... But what were we expecting?

Blizzard was supposed to contact me yesterday, but as yet, hasn't. I'm currently on hold with them (have been for about half hour now) to see WTF is up. However, there is a possibility that after Daa was transferred, that he was invited into another guild to deposit all the ill-gotten-gains into the gbank of that individual, or group. It's possible that they disbanned afterwards, but I intend to bring it up with blizzard, because I know they can track something like that.

I'm very happy to report that they didn't get away with selling some things on daaman just because I'm a bloody pack rat. Alot of stuff couldn't be sold, and ended up clogging all the bags that they could have sold... So I still actually have the majority of my 22 slot bags.. and A few 20s. :) Not all of them, but this is still a minor victory to me. GO GO PACK RATS!

This is my answer.

A whole lotta nuthin.

I've responded, as calmly as I could under the circumstances. I will continue to be MIA until the bloody F*ing retards, sorry....... These very helpful individuals figure out what it is that really needs to be done.

Oh, and to make matters more interesting... I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH ACCOUNT ADMIN FOR 2 HRS this morning. And they said, "We can't help you, only the GM's can investigate and fix this."

Now the GM's have passed it on to them... What a great little merry-go-round-circle-jerk isn't it?
