So got the win7 beta build 7000. Installed it on an older machine I had here. Just a business machine with a p4 1.5ghz 512mb ram and really basic ATI video card. So far it screams. Not sure how it will be come retail but atm for me at least on this machine its faster then various distros of linux as well as XP. It looks and acts pretty damn decent and I know Vista basic on this machine is slow. So its looking good so far. COuldn't careless about setting up something for multi touch even if i had a touch screen for it. Looking like Vista = ME then they came out with XP type thing. That is if this stays how it is now. Just beta still but really promising from my point of view. Also installed everthing I had with out issue. Didn't have a single piece of hardware that had a problem, even my printer installed and is working great.

I only hear good things about it, probably will pick it up whenever the intel 8x cores come out, later 09 / 10.
